The Red Thread Scholarship Program
The Red Thread Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to low-income and/or first-generation college students who are pursuing a degree in education. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to complete their degree and become certified teachers.
This scholarship is named after the Chinese legend of the red thread, which tells the story of two people who are destined to be together. In the legend, the gods tie an invisible red thread around the ankles of those that are fated to meet and help them find each other. Similarly, The Red Thread Scholarship Program was created to help connect low-income and/or first-generation college students with the resources they need to succeed in their education pursuits.
