The Blog’s History
2010 is when it all started. I was working in advertising sales and dabbling in fashion and beauty blogging on the side. I started Raising Three Savvy Ladies as a creative outlet to document my daily inspirations, which ranged from style to pop culture to travel.
In 2011, I left my advertising job to pursue blogging full-time. It was a scary but exciting time, and I’m so grateful that I took the leap! RTSL has since grown into a successful lifestyle blog with an engaged community of readers.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing brands, travel to incredible places, and meet so many talented and inspiring people. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I love every day, and I’m so thankful for all of you who have supported me along the way.
My Experience with Blogging
I started blogging when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I was looking for a creative outlet and something to do while I was on maternity leave. I had no idea what I was doing, but I loved it. I quickly learned that there is a whole community of bloggers out there and that there are ways to make money from blogging.
I’ve been blogging for over three years now and I absolutely love it. It’s a great way to connect with other moms, share your experiences, and make a little extra money. If you’re thinking about starting a blog, or if you’re already blogging but looking for ways to grow your blog, be sure to check out my blog tips section.

Tips for blogging and running a successful blog
Blogging can be a great way to share your life with others and connect with like-minded people. But, it takes more than just setting up a blog to be successful. Here are some tips for running a successful blog:
- Find your niche. Readers can tell when you’re genuine, and they’ll be more likely to come back if they see that you’re an expert on your topic.
- Write quality content. This may seem like a no-brainer, but it’s important to remember that your blog is competing with millions of other blogs out there. If you want people to read yours, you need to make sure it’s worth their time. That means writing well researched, engaging posts that offer something new or different.
- Promote your blog. Just because you build it doesn’t mean they will come. You need to let people know about your blog, and there are lots of ways to do this – from social media to guest blogging on other sites.
- Be patient. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results immediately – keep at it and eventually people will find you.
Building an audience and social media
As a lifestyle blogger, one of the most important things you can do is grow your audience.
When it comes to social media, there are a few key platforms that are essential for bloggers. First, there’s Twitter. This platform is great for promoting your blog content and connecting with other influencers in your niche. Second, there’s Instagram. This platform is perfect for sharing beautiful photos and stories from your life. And last but not least, there’s Pinterest. This platform is ideal for sharing recipes, DIY projects, and anything else you can think of!
The key to growing your audience on social media is consistent engagement. That means posting interesting and engaging content regularly, responding to comments and messages, and following other users who share similar interests. With a little effort, you can quickly grow your social media following and start reaching more people with your blog.
Blogging mistakes I’ve made and what I learned from them
I’ve made a lot of mistakes while blogging, but I’ve learned from all of them. Here are some of the biggest mistakes I’ve made, and what I learned from them:
Not being consistent with my content.
I used to blog whenever the mood struck me, which meant that my blog was very erratic. I would go weeks without posting, and then post several times in one week. This made it difficult for my readers to know when to expect new content from me, and it also made it hard for me to build up a loyal following.
Now, I make sure to post new content on a regular schedule. I try to post at least once a week, but sometimes I’ll post more often if I have time. This consistency has helped me attract more readers and keep them coming back for more.
Not promoting my blog enough.
When I first started blogging, I didn’t really promote my blog much outside of telling my friends and family about it. But if you want people to actually read your blog, you need to do more than that! There are tons of ways to promote your blog – social media, guest posting, forums, etc.
not interacting with my readers enough.
One of the best things about having a blog is the ability to interact with your readers directly. But in the beginning.
